Our 2022 goal is to distribute 1000 shirts across Canada. This feels like a BIG number, but we’re well on our way, having sent out 180 already this year and 50 more going out to hospitals this week! We’ve got shirts being sewn and photographed and packaged, and are optimistic that we can meet this goal.
One of the biggest challenges we have is lack of awareness by families who need our shirts. So, to improve this awareness and meet our goal, here’s some of what we’re focusing on:
🧵 Bulk hospital orders – we love sending shirts to hospitals, so they can be distributed directly to patients. We’ve already partnered with 13 Canadian hospitals to distribute shirts, but have a few more to connect with. The hospitals we’d still love to connect with are:
– Grand River Hospital
– CHEO
– Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital
– Northeast Cancer Centre (Sudbury)
– Windsor Regional Hospital
– Kingston General Hospital
– BC Children’s Hospital
– London Children’s Hospital
If any of these are your satellite clinic or primary care hospital, please let them know about us or send us their contact info and we’ll get them set up to receive shirts!
🧵 Social Media Posts – we know that our posts that include a photo of our shirts in use garner the most likes and shares. And this helps drive awareness. So, to encourage more sharing, we’ve launched a program called #MyZippaportStory. Use the hashtag #MyZippaportStory and tag us on FaceBook (@zippaportshirts) or Instagram (@zippaport), and we’ll send you a coupon code for a 3rd free Zippaport shirt! The photo does NOT need to include your child’s name or face – we know that privacy is a concern for many, and 100% respect this. We also know that not everyone is ok with posting these photos on their own social media, so we’ve also created a form where you can upload your photo and story. You can access the form here.
